Description (last modified by josowski) (diff)
All Annotation dialogs (notes, comments, ratings) need to incorporate a competing interest statement. See attached mockups.
Some notes:
- Every Annotation dialog requires a user to state if they have a CoI.
- Add the link to the top of the boxes in the same place as the existing link, as follows: "Please follow our guidelines for commenting/rating, and review our competing interests policy. "
- We can't use a CI statement on the person profile, because CIs have to be expressed in relation to the specific article being commented on. I might have a CI relevant to one article that is completely irrelevant to another article.
- One improvement which we might consider (for a later release) is that a CI is automatically filled in for a given user who makes multiple comments on a given article. For the time being though, we need to ask the user each time they fill in a comment.
